[edit] Your edits to The Lumberjack
I'm about to revert your additions to The Lumberjack, which is a disambiguation page, and should not contain detailed article instructions. I'll explain why in one moment. Shalom (Hello • Peace) 05:11, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
Instead, you should edit The Lumberjack (Humboldt State University). Your edits are saved here, and you may copy them to the correct article. If you wish to ask me a question, click on the word "Hello" in my signature. Shalom (Hello • Peace) 05:14, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
- You wrote that you're new to the wiki thing. I used to be new once myself, about two years ago. :) One thing you can learn is to sign your posts on talk pages by writing four tildes, like this: ~~~~. (The tilde is located on the upper left corner of most computer keyboards.) Shalom (Hello • Peace) 05:24, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

- To answer your question: it's better to keep content in one place. We don't have two separate articles about Hillary Clinton and Hillary Rodham Clinton because they are the same person. My suggestion is to just dump all your writing into the existing article, [[The Lumberjack (Humboldt State University)], and try to remove any redundancy that arises from a crude combination of two writing styles. If you need more time, you can leave a note on the talk page to explain what you're doing. You can also leave a template at the top of the page to explain to people that the article is a work in progress. Type in {{Construction}} at the top of the article, and you will see this green box. To clarify the above, since Shalom apparently wasn't aware that The Lumberjack (Humboldt State University) now takes the reader to the Humboldt State University article: Until a few months ago, there was a separate Lumberjack(HSU) article (which was not very large). There was discussion about whether there should in fact be such an article, and the consensus was that the information should be integrated into the Humboldt State University article. If you want to see the grimy details of that discussion, it is at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Lumberjack (Humboldt State University). (Don't let that stop you from editing; you can just as well add to the LJ section of the HSU article.) -R. S. Shaw 05:31, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
