[edit] Greensted Church
Thank you for this images you provided of Greensted Church. You mentioned you had other images. If you have any images showing the wooden construction of the walls, I think it would greatly enhance the article. I think the article could support another image. If it doesn't work out that way, I think that an image of the wooden walls could be more useful that the one of the stain glass window. Although it is a very fine picture, the church is famous for being the oldest surviving wood church. Dsmdgold 19:01, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

- I've moved to the USA since those pictures were taken, so I'll have to find them. I should have some decent pictures like that however. The window image was more used as it illustrates one of the religious ties the church has. The walls are dark however, and so don't show up very well in most images. I'll see what I have. [edit] Killing My Lobster
Hi DarkCryst. I thought that you might want to know that I've had to remove a large portion of the Killing My Lobster article, which, before you got there, was lifted from the group's website. I saved pretty much all of the content you added, but the article is now far less comprehensive that it was when you last saw it. If you have a moment, you may want to take a look. All the best. ×Meegs 09:41, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

- Thanks for letting me know Meegs :) My wife works with the lobsters a lot (she helped write their last show) I'll ask them about their position on their website content for wikipedia, if they are ok with it I'll effectively re-write the most informative portions so they'll fit the wiki. I didn't notice that it was lifted from the site when I edited it else I'd have done that then! :) DarkCryst 18:28, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- A word of caution: it is not sufficient for the copyright holder to give permission for Wikipedia to use the prose, they must agree to the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License so that anyone can use it, and change it, for any purpose. There's a bunch of information about this at Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission and Wikipedia:Example requests for permission. Honestly, it's best to either scratch something together yourself, or to just leave it as it is for future editors. It's really not in bad shape now, is it? ×Meegs 19:43, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- Well that's more my intention - get content from them for me to create my own work which I can them license to wikipedia. Their website actually sucks from an info standpoint - I'll be hitting them up for more info anyhow. Honestly - most of the stuff on their website is promotional anyhow, which you can find by a quick google. So the key is to not use their words. DarkCryst 00:43, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
- An excellent plan. If you can find it, press coverage makes the best source. Take care ×Meegs 10:21, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
