Born in 1982 in Vienna, Austria. Student of journalism and communication studies at the University of Vienna.
My hobbies and interests (some Wikipedia articles I might read and try to improve):
- Information technology and telecommunications
- Operating systems (basically anything from AIX to ZETA)
- Networking
- Mobile computing (PDAs, mobile phones, notebooks/laptops, Tablet PCs, etc.)
- HTPCs
- Ubiquitous computing
- The effects modern technologies have on our society
- Ongoing research and developments (examples: WiMAX, VoIP, Dual core processors, new fields of 64 bit computing, etc.)
- Copyright and legal issues involving websites, digital audio/digital video files, software piracy, the open source community, software patents, etc.
- Privacy issues and controversial technologies like RFID-tags, biometry, surveillance by government institutions, etc.
- Media/entertainment/television
- Current events, business developments, ratings, etc.
- Comedy (mainly Austrian and German shows and Viennese cabaret)
- (Talks) shows by entertainers like Stefan Raab, Harald Schmidt, Sarah Kuttner, Barbara Schöneberger and Charlotte Roche
- Some rather innovative and/or entertaining recent television shows 24, Lost, Desperate Housewives, Two and a Half Men, Malcolm in the Middle, Gilmore Girls, etc.
