[edit] Point?
I hardly see the point in erasing the DartMUD article, the mud is noteworthy, in it's feature set, which influenced later games, and certainly deserves its own article. It's also noteworthy for being one of the longest running muds on the net. -Joshua —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Joshuajohaneman (talk • contribs) 25 May 2005.
[edit] Deletion
- Granted that this article lacks external sources. It was largely authored by those with firsthand knowledge of the game's place in the evolution of virtual worlds.
- The assertions of lack of significance don't have merit. Ultima Online used ideas that this particular mud pioneered.
If you want to propose deletion, object here first, and all legitimate issues will be answered. Jclemens 21:38, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
- I look forwards to seeing an independent, reliable source back up the Ultima Online connection. I'll give it a few weeks and if nothing is forthcoming, I'll take it to AfD. Tagged for references and notability concerns in the meantime. Marasmusine 07:59, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
- Done. Sufficient? If not, drop me a note here and I'll add more. There are over 10,000 references to DartMUD known to Google, so I can add planty more independent ones if you find it insufficient. Jclemens 16:50, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. I wasn't sure where your third reference was supposed to go, so I've put it next to [2]. Basically, as many independent, reliable sources as possible (WP:V and WP:Reliable sources). Marasmusine 21:13, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
