Dieringer was "King of the Used Cars", after the so-called "Used Cars Division" of NASCAR (as ex-Mercury-equipped racers were briefly known). See from Cutter & Fendell's Encyclopedia of Auto Racing Greats (Prentice-Hall, 1973). Trekphiler 03:50, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
