[edit] Original Dar El-Hekma

Isn't this college named for Dar El-Hekma, an ancient library and center of learning in Egypt? Badagnani 23:54, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

yes but not in Egypt , it was in Baghdad in the age of the Abbasid Empire , and the academy been burned by Hulagu Khan in winter of year 1257 , it was called Dar Al-Hekma which is mean (House of thinking) in Arabic language :) Ammar 03:10, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

sorry sorry , the one which was burned was Baghdad's library , and you right Dar El-Hekma was in Egypt , i just confirmed my wrong information from the arabic wikipedia , sorry for my mistakes sir . , but i havent found full article about this subject , give me some days i'll find any books about it :) Ammar 17:25, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
see , i just found on webs thats Baghdad's library was called "Bait Al-Hekma" which has the 100% same meaning :) , see [1] . Ammar 17:29, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
