Daryl Hayott

Daryl Hayott is a Brazilian bassist. Born in São Paulo, he was raised in New York City.

Hayott started out as a session drummer for Electric Lady Studios in New York, but started to play bass to rehabilitate torn hand muscles. Hayott has played with Sade and Al Jarreau amongst others and also has his own band, Konfuciousklan, who released an album, Tribal Passages on Hayott's own label. Twice voted Brazilian bass player of the year, Hayott and partner Neil Bertrand formed Category Five Records in October 2005.
