Darrell Martinie (1943 – July 26, 2006), aka The Cosmic Muffin, was a Boston, Massachusetts-based astrologer and radio personality.
Martinie worked on-air for more than 30 years, at times nationally syndicated but primarily and most memorably at WBCN in Boston. His nickname "The Cosmic Muffin" was given to him by Charles Laquidara, and taken from a National Lampoon parody song. Martinie would end each broadcast with the phrase "It is a wise person who rules the stars, a fool who is ruled by them - Over and out." In 1996, then-Governor of Massachusetts, Bill Weld named Martinie the state's official astrologer. Martinie died of cancer in 2006.[1]
