Darlington College is based in Darlington, County Durham in England. It is located at Central Park, Haughton Road Darlington. It has recently moved there from Cleveland Avenue, Darlington.
Darlington College has a learning and training environment which includes:
- A dedicated centre for 14 – 19 year olds
- A higher education centre
- Facilities for business training
- Sports facilities
- A Media Design Centre
- Restaurant and bistro
- Hair and beauty salons
The College works in partnership with the Learning and Skills Council, Darlington Borough Council, Tees Valley Regeneration and Shepherd Construction.
The College has various facilities available for the general public. In the heart of Darlington, it has bus and rail links and is within walking distance of the town centre. Students are able to experience theory and practice on a host of vocational courses. The first and second floors form the new University Centre which brings together the further and higher education skills of Darlington College with the Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College and the University of Teesside
Darlington College is a new building that was built from 2004 to September 2006. It was opened in September 2006 but wasn't officially opened until 22nd December 2006 by the then-Prime Minister Tony Blair.
