Darlene Fairley

Darlene Cook Fairley (b 1943) is a Washington State Senator representing the 32nd District. The district includes Shoreline, Lake Forest Park, and Kenmore. As of January 2007 she chairs the Government Operations and Elections committee. She is currently serving her 4th term as a State Senator.

Fairley became Lake Forest Park councilmember in January 1992 and was first elected to the State Senate in 1994.

Fairley married Michael Gilbert Fairley in 1969. Fairley was disabled in a traffic accident involving a drunk driver in August 1977.

In 2006, she received the following awards:
