[edit] Plot
Steelbeak has recruited some St. Canard's dangerous criminals to help to build an ultimate crime weapon. As a result, S.H.U.S.H. requires the help of Darkwing Duck to stop them. There is very little clues to go on, except a picture of the criminals looking a stolen artwork. Darkwing must scour the city and find pieces to a puzzle to find Steelbeak location and bring him to justice.
[edit] Game Play
The game differs from the Capcom Darkwing Duck game for the NES and Game Boy. As players will have to go through and battle enemies while collecting the puzzle pieces scattered throughout each of the first three levels. The player will be timed in each level. If the player remains idle for long, an anvil will fall on Darkwing's head and the player will lose a life.
Weapons
The player's primary means of attack is jumping on enemies heads. Unlike the Capcom versions, the gas gun can only be used when the player has ammunition called gas pellets in their
inventory. The gas pellets come in three different colors representing a different effect. The gas pellets are as follows:
- Red Pellets: Confusing Gas
- Green Pellets: Sleeping Gas
- Orange Pellets: Knock Out Gas
Another weapon are cherry bombs that takeout all enemies on screen.
Status Items
Powerups are found throughout the game and consist of:
- Eggs: replenish ones health
- Large D: Extra lives
- Blue coins: extra continues
- Purple shield: temporary invincibility
[edit] Bosses
There are four bosses throughout the entire game, which pales in comparison to the seven bosses in the Capcom versions.
