Dark Summonings was a seminal LARP Campaign of the Baltimore-Washington Community organized principally by Mike Young (LARP), serving to establish the basis for an eclectic Theatre Style community playing multiple event (Campaign) games using a system known as Rules To Live By. Originally organized by, the Campaign ran in the late 90s. The original Dark Summonings drew heavily on earlier games using the Call of Cthulhu source material, but over the course of three years it became increasingly more eclectic. The campaign was re-run ending in 2005 in the Boston area, and was more heavily divorced from its Call of Cthulhu antecedents.
