Dark Lady is the eleventh studio album by American singer Cher, released in 1974, and her third successful album of the seventies. Its was certified Gold later in 1975 and sold nearly 5 million copies worldwide.
The single and title track, "Dark Lady", reached to number one in the Billboard Hot 100 singles charts. After "Dark Lady" the album spawned 2 more top 50 singles. "Train of Thought" peaked at #27 on the Billboard Hot 100 and the Adult Contemporary Charts at #9. I Saw A Man and He Danced With His Wife" did do as well on the Billboard Hot 100 peaking at #42 but managed to nearly top the Adult Contemporary Charts at #3.

In 1999, this album and Cher's previous album (Half-Breed) were reissued onto one C.D. which featured all the tracks from "Dark Lady" and Half-Breed, this C.D. is now considered hard-to-find.
