Dark Destiny (2004) is the thirteenth novel in the Dark Series by American author Christine Feehan.

As a child Destiny's family is brutally killed by a Vampire. She is also attacked by the vampire and is then turned into a "Creature of the night". She barely survives and her sanity is only saved by a comforting male voice, which teaches her how to survive.

Nicolae is an ancient. A Carpathian male that hunts the undead, vampires. Nicolae is also the one who has been helping Destiny survive all the years. Now Nicolae is convinced that Destiny is his lifemate. He is desperately searching to find Destiny as she is all that stands between Nicolae turning into the very abomination that he hunts night by night.

Destiny, on the other hand, does not realise the difference between Carpathians and vampires and refuses to have anything to do Nicolae. Now Nicolae is in a race against time to convince his lifemate to trust and love him.
