Dark Day Fatalism
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dark Day Fatalism is a religion featured in Oisín McGann's 2006 book Small Minded Giants.
Members of the Dark Day Fatalist (often abbreviated to "DDF") cult believe that the dome city of Ash Harbour, a city built inside a giant dome as an effort to survive an Ice Age, is ultimately breaking down, and that there will eventually be a catastrophe in which Ash Harbour succumbs to the deadly Ice Age. Dark Day Fatalists often dress in black and wear their hair long. They are sometimes seen at the sites of mechanical accidents in Ash Harbour, for they believe that each accident proves their point; Ash Harbour cannot last much longer. DDF members are often suicidal, and are known to jump to their deaths from observation platforms. The symbol of Dark Day Fatalism is three lines spiraling into nothing.
