Darjeeling is a district of West Bengal state in eastern India.Headquarters of the district is the hill station of Darjeeling. Kalimpong, Kurseong and Siliguri are the other major towns in the district. Siliguri is the largest of them. Mirik is a recently developed lake resort.
The district is administrated by the Darjeeling Gorkha Autonomous Hill Council.
