Darigold is the brand name and trademark used by Darigold, Inc. on its dairy products. Darigold, Inc. is headquartered in Seattle, Washington and is wholly owned by over 700 members of the Northwest Dairy Association, an agricultural cooperative representing farmers from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Northern California. The Darigold trademark was established in 1925 when the United Dairyman's Association offered a prize at its June members' picnic for the best name for its products and the Darigold name was chosen. The company itself was founded in 1918 as the United Dairymen's Association. Darigold's revenues are greater than $1 billion per year. It produces over 7,000,000,000 pounds of milk annually and its products are sold worldwide.
