Darcy Furber is a Canadian politician. He was elected to represent the electoral district of Prince Albert Northcote in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan in the 2007 election. He is a member of the New Democratic Party.
Raised on MacDowall Crescent in Prince Albert, Darcy Furber attended St. John’s and St. Mary’s schools.
As a youth he played hockey for the Mintos and Midget Raiders and baseball, winning a provincial championship with the P.A. Athletics and a national championship with the P.A. Braves.
After graduation, Darcy attended the University of Regina, majoring in kinesiology. In his spare time, he has coached many different teams including Team Saskatchewan Softball, where he won a gold medal at the North American Indigenous Games.
Darcy has worked for various organizations, including at P.A. Bottlers, St. Mary’s high school as a youth counsellor and for SaskTel.
Darcy has also worked in various positions with the Saskatchewan Government including the Chief of Staff for the Minister of Corrections and Public Safety and the Chief of staff to the Minister of Community Resources.
