Darío Bottinelli is an Argentine football midfielder. He was born on December 26, 1986, in the Capital Federal district of Buenos Aires in Argentina. He currently plays for Universidad Católica of the Primera División in Chile.
Considered a good prospect for the future, Botinelli managed to establish himself in the San Lorenzo first team during the 2006-07 season.
For the start of the 2007-08 season he was transferred to Racing[1].
Darío's older brother, defender Jonathan Bottinelli, still plays with San Lorenzo[2].
In early 2008, Bottinelli was transferred on loan to Universidad Católica to compete in the Chilean apertura and the Copa Libertadores.[3]
