Ashura: Dark Reign, also known as A:DR is a Total Conversion mod for Unreal Tournament 2004, and later for Unreal Tournament 3.

30+ characters to choose from in multiplayer, 2+ new gametypes, 3 story mode games based on a story that blends and twists together, 4 multiplayer character classes to choose from, melee combat and combo attacks, new vehicles, cinematic cutscenes, old and new zones from past Sonic games, ability to run through loops and corkscrews and total Sonic style gameplay!
[edit] Single Player
In single player mode, you get to play as 3 different characters.
Sonic: Save Mobius from impending doom from the nefarious Ashura and Dr.Eggman.
Shadow: Thwart the plans of the Brotherhood of Metallix whilst helping Sonic take on Ashura and Eggman.
Ashura (unlockable): Start out in an ancient echidna civilization, by taking on the role of Ashura; a reckless rogue who has been shunned from his clan and seeks revenge. Then take him forward to Sonic's present day and cause mayhem for the blue blur and friends. Team up with Dr.Eggman and find the missing Tridaynium Emeralds before Sonic does.
[edit] Multiplayer
With multiplayer you get over 30 new and old characters and new playable modes such as:
Death-Match & Team Death-Match:
Kill or be killed. The one with the most amount of kills by the time the match is over WINS!
Emerald Hunt:
Compete as a team and use each other's skills and abilities to track down the 7 hidden Chaos Emeralds scattered around the map. But be careful as the opposing team can beat you senseless and steal your emeralds if you're not on the lookout. First team to safely guard all 7 Chaos Emeralds in their Emerald Chamber WINS!
X-treme Boarders:
Think Sonic: Riders: Online; but with more players, and with deadly weapons and traps to knock you off the top spot. Find the hidden Chaos Emerald to open the path to the finish line!

[edit] Character Powers
It was noted there will be 4 different types of powers that make each character unique they are:
Speed: These characters are useful for quickly recovering items or setting off traps without getting harmed allowing others to cross deadly paths.
Flight: These characters are useful for carrying players from one side of a level to the other; or reaching high up places that another character finds impossible to reach. But be warned, they do get exhausted pretty quickly. Find a soft landing or else you could find yourself in danger.
Power: These characters are useful for guarding areas or for use in close combat situtions. They will have a special ability that can either cause destruction around them, or have an increase in strength.
Psi: These characters are extremely powerful with the ability to move objects with their mind and levitate for a given amount of time, and also possess the ability to cause mass destruction. Get one on your side and they'll come in handy when your under heavy attack from the opposition.

Many vehicles will be featured in this mod including:
- The Tornado MK3 (plane)
- Shadow's Harley Davidson (from the previews of Shadow The Hedgehog game)
- Eggman's Egg'o'Matic
- Hover Boards (similar to Sonic Riders game)
and many more.

The original tv screens from the old-skool Sonic games are going to be in this mod. They are:
