Long acting drugs are easier to taper off. Short acting drugs cause intense withdrawal symptoms. eg. fluoxetine is a long acting ssri compared to paroxetine. paroxetine cuases the worst discontinuation symptoms. But Prozac weekly is very easy to come off.

So, What's your point. These symptoms only happen when taking the ssri for long periods of time !86.132.178.94 23:26, 15 September 2006 (UTC)`

It is a drug commonly used in adult industry. However the continued use is not recommended as stated above.

-> It could not possibly be used in the adult entertainment industry as it is not currently being manufactured for human consumption, if it were the DEA would be Very interested to know and I'm sure many many people would be going to jail for it. As for the "Contradiction" in the article, there is none. What the above post is getting at is that the withdrawl profile for most drugs doesn't come into play until drug concentration reaches steady state (typically 5 half lives). For SSRI's withdrawl typically doesn't happen until after at least 21 days of use. Dapoxetine is intended for "as needed" dosing and should not reach steady state at all, thus discontinuation syndromes are expected to be minimal. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.118.220.25 (talk) 16:01, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
