[edit] Images
Ok this is getting old people. If you want to replace the current image then at least make sure the one you replace it with has:
- A source that tell us who owns the copyright to it.
- A valid copyright tag template (most likely fair use for this subject).
- A fair use rationale (asuming a fair use image is used).
Missing either one of the two first means the image will get deleted, and because the previous image was fair use too it will get deleted if it's not used too, so then you end up with no image at all. Missing the thid (asuming it's fair use) might also get the image in trouble, depending somewhat on what kind of image it is.
The current image might be "boring", but at last least it has a solid fair use claim, so don't replace it with something that has dodgy copyright info because those tend not to last very long. Thanks. --Sherool (talk) 05:26, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Boobsquad
In a boobsquad episode dated May 23, 2002, we see a young and visibly awkward Daphne Rosen in front of the camera. Could this be her first time in pictures? I'm not sure, because the bang bros. are known to stage their episodes. However, if it was acting, she did a damn good job. Furthermore, the date would make her only 19 years old.--Nick C.
[edit] Amherst College grad?
Numerous adult industry publications and her own materials claim Daphne Rosen is a graduate of Amherst College. Is there evidence of this view other than her own statements? 24.215.245.82 05:20, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
She spent her early modeling years in Amherst (not that that means anything, though it is a college town) and there was an article in an Israeli newspaper about it (again, I do not speak or understand Hebrew nor do I assume that the reporter from that newspaper did fact-checking). Good points, though, I wish I could verify myself.
[edit] 'Urban Fans'
"It is projects like these that has made Rosen, known for her 34G breasts 41-inch buttocks a hit with urban fans."
What the hell does that mean? I'm pretty sure I know what it implies, but seriously if you make that implication you need to be explicit. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.120.149.53 (talk) 18:41, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Jewish actor
Myspace is not a reliable source for information. Please provide a reliable source for this information. Jons63 (talk) 21:29, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- Myspace would be enough to say that someone is jewish, but not the rest of the sentence. Jons63 (talk) 21:59, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

- Er ... I gather this is about this edit? "She is notable as one of the few openly Jewish actors/actresses in the adult industry currently making pornographic films today." ? Well ... no offense, but that doesn't seem to be a very notable characteristic as such. Ron Jeremy is possibly the most famous living pornographic actor, and his being Jewish isn't usually considered a big deal. Then there's Nina Hartley and Annie Sprinkle - I guess they aren't active as actresses now, but they were rather famous, but not for being Jewish. Others include Sasha Gabor, Barbara Dare, Michael Lucas... Ariana Jollee is still active now. --AnonEMouse (squeak) 22:11, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

- The above listing of Jewish porn stars constitutes original research. Original Research is not allowed as a source for claims made in articles, you need a source that supports the claims you are making. The claim should be removed and shouldn't be replaced without a verifiable source. Jons63 (talk) 01:15, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

I hope that my solution can end this edit war. She is notable for her figure, I'd assume from her profession, and she happens to be Jewish, which is pretty well-known unless the pages and pages of googles say. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lendiggy (talk • contribs) 01:41, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- I wouldn't even write "notable for her hourglass figure" unless Wikipedia:Reliable sources have said so. Has she won the AVN "Hourglass Figure of the Year award" or something? She's notable for her overall work, like most people in the Encyclopedia; physicists are notable for their physics, writers are notable for their books, actors are notable for their films. Wikipedia:Notability means that sources write about you, and I think it's clear that most sources write about her performances in general, not really mainly about her religion. It's true that most people in the business aren't Jewish, but neither are most plumbers, or hairdressers, or astronauts, it's a minority religion in most fields. There are enough Jewish porn stars that it's not a particularly a big deal, people don't write "OMG, It's A Jewish Porn Star" articles - or if they do, I don't see any in the references or external links sections. We can probably find a rarer group if we look hard enough - how many left handed red headed porn stars are there? Porn stars that are exactly 5 feet 3 inches tall? It's interesting enough to mention in a sentence, but I don't think it's the main source of her notability. --AnonEMouse (squeak) 16:25, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] I would like my credit
I first made this page a year and half ago. Others have changed it but it is mostly me. I deserve a little credit IMHO Lendiggy —Preceding comment was added at 01:52, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- You can have your credit if you want, but do not remove my comments to this page as they are pertinent. Jons63 (talk) 02:12, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
They sound more bitter than anything. I did most of the grunt work in 2005, not some conflicted party. Lendiggy
- And within the last few days someone who appears to have a conflict of interest has been substantially editing the article. That is why I have placed my comments. The only reason I even came to the article is because someone else posted to Biographies of living persons Notice Board and I reviewed the article and found other problems than the one commented on. [edit] Conflict of Interest
This article has been substantially edited by someone who appears to be the subject of the article, User:Daphnerosen. This appears to be a conflict of interest. The editor uses the official bio and the myspace page of Daphne Rosen as sources for information being added to the article. Jons63 (talk) 01:32, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
Not really an acurate statement Lendiggy —Preceding comment was added at 04:11, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Lead section
I removed the Jewish and hourglass business from the LEAD section. If people want to go into that material further into the article, have at it. Thanks, --Tom 17:18, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
I put it back, your "contribution" didn't.-Lendiggy —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lendiggy (talk • contribs) 21:04, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- Do you have a source to back that material up? Also, it probably doesn't belong in the lead unless that is really what she is notable for. Anyways, --Tom 21:07, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
I can link or footnote the websites and videos she has starred in but they are rather indecent. It's your call.-Lendiggy —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lendiggy (talk • contribs) 21:09, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

- (edit conflict) What you need to provide in order to keep that material in the article is a reliable source that says "Rosen is notable for her hourglass figure of 41-23-41" period. Providing her porno flicks dosen't cut it. Anyways, Tom 21:22, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- Do the websites and videos you are talking about say that she is notable for her figure and if they do are they a reliable source —Preceding unsigned comment added by 132.24.126.26 (talk) 21:19, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
