Daphne Chanders is a recurring secondary character on the US television series, Queer as Folk

Daphne is most prominently featured during the first two seasons but remained for all five seasons. She is Justin Taylor's best friend, and the first person that he came out to. She is Justin's confidante for most of the first season, especially when his parents are in the middle of a messy divorce. Towards the end of the first season, she asked Justin to "be her first," and the two had sex. Afterwards, Daphne became romantically interested in Justin, causing some tension between them. Justin told her that even though they had sex together, he isn't in love with her. However, Daphne reminded him that Justin had been acting towards Brian Kinney the same way she was acting now. The two reconciled and went to their high school prom as dates.

Daphne and Justin went to separate colleges, and during fights with Brian, Justin would sleep at her apartment. He also lived there briefly after he was broken up with Ethan and was trying to get back with Brian.
