[edit] Alter Ego and Jetpetz

Hi - Thanks for dealing with the CSD tags on these in a constructive way. The main problem is that there are no external links that aren't directly related to the bands. Can you put some info in that comes from other sources (news items, etc.) that can show "outside interest" in the subject? I'd be happy to pull the tag if that's available. And welcome! Hi - alter ego is a pre-internet band. So like with other bands of this era that weren't world known it is difficult to find. Regarding jetpetz - the album is available in both the US and UK on iTunes:

the album is not yet physically released in these countries but will be in the beginning of 2008, I can give you some external danish links for now:

Good job, Dk. To ensure the long-term survival of the Alter Ego article, your best bet is to include some of the material from the links into the article itself, then add them as references. That way, people don't see only a myspace page as a reference. You've obviously got something there, so I'd encourage you to work with it!
On Jetpetz, it looks like someone else made the call to delete the page. But from the info you've given, it looks like it's just a case of being too early to put the material into Wikipedia. Once the album is in full release and has had some reviews and a chart track record, you probably will be successful in trying again. However, keep in mind again that you should write it with the same sort of external references you've identified as an integral part of the article. Unfortunately, too many people try to game the system with self-serving entries that only reference their own sites (myspace, youtube, etc.), so potentially good articles get thrown out with the bad. Your best defense is good source material and good references.
In any case, good luck, and thanks for a most constructive response!! ΨνPsinu 14:36, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
