[edit] License tagging for Image:Danoramapic.png

Thanks for uploading Image:Danoramapic.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 20:06, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:United Abominations cover.jpg

Hello, Danorama. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:United Abominations cover.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Danorama. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 10:26, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Iron Maiden - Powerslave.jpg

Image:Iron Maiden - Powerslave.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 07:37, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Live Trax (Megadeath EP)

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that recently you carried out a copy and paste page move from Live Trax (Megadeath EP). Please do not move articles by copying and pasting them because it splits the article's history, which is needed for attribution and is helpful in many other ways. If there is an article that you cannot move yourself using the move link at the top of the page, follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Requested moves. Also, if there are any other articles that you copied and pasted, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. –Dream out loud (talk) 00:12, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disturbed song articles

Hey, I was about to post the articles in question through the AfD process, but I was thinking that (since you apparently seem to cooperate pretty well) you could make things easier by tagging the articles in question (the songs that are not singles) with the ṃ template for speedy deletion. Is that okay with you? Thanks in advance! Zouavman Le Zouave 18:18, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Alright, that's okay with me... will you do it, or will I? Dan 18:34, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Sure, I'll be willing to do it. I will put the tags later tonight. Thanks for your cooperation! Zouavman Le Zouave 19:50, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit]  :Image:B.A.C.K. by Artillery.jpg

I see that you recently added this image. Just wanted to point out a few things. First, since the image will only be used (legally) in the album's infobox it is unnecessary to have an image larger than 200x. Furthermore, non-free images larger than 300x are often deleted. Second, when you replace an image (for whatever reason) it is customary to place a speedy deletion[1]tag on the inferior image. This will help everybody involved keep the place clean. Also, speedy deletion for redundancy is quicker that for orphans. You may also want to take a look at Wikipedia:Etiquette. Happy editing! (Sampm 21:51, 9 September 2007 (UTC))

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Warnament Logo.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Warnament Logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 19:15, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Please explain

Please explain how this is "unhelpful" or "OR" - unreferenced it may be, but given the previous two albums titles contained the numerics for the album number, it is surely common sense? I notice you didn't argue with what I inserted in Killbox 13. Other than that, try to have fun when editing and realise the "rules" aren't there to suit your own content agenda. Oh, and please use an edit summary more often – that would be really helpful. Thanks. :) – B.hotep u/t• 19:52, 22 October 2007 (UTC) P.S. I notice that most, if not all, of the articles you have created are not referenced. I'm fine with that, although others may have slapped a big {{unref}} on it. – B.hotep u/t• 19:56, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for your explanation. It is much appreciated, and maybe I was being a bit harsh above. I've added more as a reply on my talk page. Keep up the great work, and carry on being bold! – B.hotep u/t• 19:46, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disturbed - Stricken in Guitar Hero III

Hey,

I notice that you keep removing a certain user's addition to Song Appearances - Stricken in Guitar Hero III. I understand why you keep doing it, and I saw the message you added, but I think that, since the Guitar Hero series is quite popular, it should be added under Song Appearances, especially since non-notable movies like Valentine are put in there. What do you think? Dan 23:32, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

I removed what i knew not to be notable for such a list, I can't guarantee that those who were left in the list are. We'd rather delete the entries of your concern. The whole list is trivia anyway. ~ | twsx | talkcont | 01:12, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
