[edit] No
No, actually I do have a life. Most people on Wikipedia don't. There was this one guy that I saw that had over 2100 article edits in 3 months, thats 23 edits per day. I dont even do one. The whole time that I am here I think that these people just need to get a life. I actually have one. I go to school, I do a lot of sports, and I ride horses. I do this when there is nothing on TV!! ;)--Runningcupcake03 03:01, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Patrolling
Please see [| Wikipedia:Recent changes patrol] and learn more about how to spot and deal with vandalism before contributing further. Specifically, do not charge users with vandalism they have not committed (use the offender's contribs page), and under no circumstances should you attempt to impersonate another user. --Prewitt81 04:44, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
- It's ok to be new, just read up a little before you dive in too deep. Mistakes happen. Also, remember to sign all comments by adding ~~~~ after every comment. --Prewitt81 04:48, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Adoption
Sure thing, what do you need help with? What kinds of articles do you like to edit? What kinds of tasks were you thinking of helping out with? (I can suggest some if you want, there are plenty: categorizing, copy editing, dab link repair, recent changes patrol...). When I adopt someone, I generally just wait for them to ask me questions, so if you'd like to do it a different way, let me know. Don't hesitate to let me know if you need something. Peace, delldot talk 20:53, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Categories
Well, the way you add an article to a category is to add [[Category:the category you want to add it to]] at the bottom of the article. You can find more info at Wikipedia:Categorization and Help:Category. One of the major projects that needs a lot of work on Wikipedia is Category:Uncategorized pages. You can go there, choose a random one, and decide what category it belongs in. If you don't know, choose a different article. The way I figure out what category a page fits in is to go to a broader category that I know it fits in and look through the subcategories until I find one it fits in. So if the article was about a high school in Virginia, I might go to Category:Schools or something broad and look for a subcategory like Category:High schools in the United States or Category:High schools in Virginia. You get the idea. Try it and let me know if you have any questions. Peace, delldot talk 20:06, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
- Slow down on the category creations. You're creating categories that are redundant to other categories. For instance, we now have to merge "non-fictional doctors" into the existing Category:Physicians. Doczilla 15:41, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
- Since you asked: One thing you can do to keep from creating redundant categories is to look through the categories listed at the bottom of the page for some of the articles that would belong in your new category. For instance, once you looked up a few non-fictional doctors, you would have seen for yourself that "non-fictional doctor" would be redundant to a category they already had. Your enthusiasm is appreciated, and I look forward to your future contributions. Doczilla 04:47, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy tags
In the future if you tag an article for speedy deletion, you have to leave an indication in the edit summary that you've done so. Also please read the articles on deletion to find out which articles meet the criteria as this article clearly did not [1] --Crossmr 16:09, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
