[edit] Aristotelian logic and Term logic

I just saw your additions to the Aristotelian logic: I'm sorry to tell you that your work is at least partly wasted, since it is duplicating content at term logic. I'm afraid the distinction between these two articles is not clear: if you look in Talk:Aristotelian logic, you will see a discussion where I proposed to merge the two articles, but nothing ever came of it.

I'm going to propose to merge the two articles again: might you be interested in helping? --- Charles Stewart 19:21, 26 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] PS

I saw you signed your name on the article: you're not supposed to do this on Wikipedia articles, since the articles are meant to be shared, and signing suggests ownership.

[edit] Romanians

Salut. Te-am contactat pt avem serioase probleme la articolul wikipedian despre Romanians. Numai bine, NorbertArthur 2 Aprilie 2006

[edit] Romanian leu

I would doubt that Romanian leu is pegged to USD, as Romania is in the process of joining EU. In addition, it doesn't make sense. Romania trades with eurozone countries for the most part.

  • Exports partners: Italy 21.4%, Germany 15%, France 8.5%, Turkey 7%, UK 6.6%
  • Imports partners: taly 17.2%, Germany 14.9%, France 7.1%, Russia 6.8%, Turkey 4.2%

[edit] Romania

Buna! Arthur 29 Iulie 2006

[edit] Template talk:Infobox Country

Hi Daniel,

Some users are engaged in an ever so avid discussion about introducing some new entries to the infobox. One would be the Gini index, the other, a link to Wikitravel. Please join the discussion and help us reach a consensus.

Thanks for pointing this out; I've just left a couple of comments. Best wishes, David Kernow (talk) 05:56, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Romania-plate.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Romania-plate.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 10:08, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

We should only use copyrighted images on Wikipedia when a free image is not easily available. In this case, I see no reason to use an image has a "Copyright © Florida License Plates", when anyone living in Romania can go out and take a photo of a license plate (see criteria #1 and #8 from Fair use criteria). If a Romanian license plate image is to be subject of copyright (which I don't think it is, anyway), then let it be the copyright of the state institution which created it. [edit] Teoctist

Salut. Vroiam sa te intreb daca tu ai scris in articolul despre patriarhul teoctist, acele lucrurile de la sectiunea Controverse? Cele care se refera la acuzatii cum ca ar fi fost homosexual si legionar. Arthasfleo 14:42, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Dumneata — impolite??

Hi. You recently added a usage note to the description of pronouns on the Romanian grammar page, stating that dumneata "is only used when addressing a person that one finds undesirable, or not worthy of respect, but with whom one cannot resort to using the simple personal pronoun tu (you), due to not actually being acquainted with that person." Can you supply a source for this claim? It appears to be in dispute (see the talk page), and your note is likely to end up being removed unless it can be backed up from a reliable source. Richwales (talk) 17:00, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

I've read descriptions suggesting that dumneata might be used in a situation where tu seems too intimate, but dumneavoastră is too formal. What would you say about that? Are you trying to say that dumneata is perceived as condescending when used by someone who is not elderly?
On a related note, just how "close" do two people need to be before it's appropriate for them to use tu? What about, for example, a man and a woman who are well acquainted socially, but who are not in any way involved romantically? How would they be likely to address each other? Would it make a difference if, say, it were an older (but not "elderly") man and a younger (but still adult) woman — again, on good terms socially, but not at all intimate? Might dumneata enter into such a scenario? Or is it simply too old-fashioned, and the only choices nowadays are tu or dumneavoastră, with nothing in the middle any more? [edit] Hello

Buna ziua. Cusa ma daca Romana mea nu e buna. Tu-l sti pe User:Mario1987? Basketball110 04:19, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

He was blocked, and if you knew him, I wanted to know if he left you the same message: two Romanian users asked me (in Romanian) if I could speak to them via e-mail about "something." It seemed weird and I just wanted to know. Happy editing, Basketball110 21:40, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
