[edit] Citecheck template
Hi, I was doing some wikihousekeeping and noticed you added this template to Nigeria sao tome & principe,Joint development authority. Actually the "citations missing" template would have been better there. Citecheck is for inappropriate citations, such as quotes out of context. Durova 04:11, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] NO personal attack

- Go away. You are not meant to be badgering people about your block as part of your Administrator-imposed parole. If you do it once more, WP:AN/I will know about it. Daniel.Bryant 06:10, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] How can I help you?
This is being brought on by a burst of curiousoty (did I spell that right). I want to help reduce stress brought on by tough projects that people might be working on. Your main focus seems to be on the FC Mariners. I know absolutely nothing about that, or even what it is. I will try to do my best, though. If there is something else I can help you with, please say so. Have a good day.--Chili14 21:53, 3 September 2006 (UTC) P.S. Please reply on my talk page. Thanks.

[edit] Pink bat
Did you know? was updated. On 4 September 2006, a fact from the article Pink bat, which you recently nominated, has been featured in that section on the Main Page. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page. |
Many thanks for the nomination. Would be great if you could help by making sure the copyright status of the images in the article are accurate. Thanks -- Samir धर्म 11:11, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks. Trying to track down the bloody image copyright, but no success so far. Daniel.Bryant 07:06, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Advice
Hi. Some advice for you. Specifically, you would do well to let your dispute with Giano drop. Everything associated with Giano, Carnildo and so on has a very high temperature - while you may be slighted by him accusing you of personal attacks, everyone involved in the dispute has a lot of baggage which you probably don't want to get involved with. More generally, it is poor wikiquette to use standard warning templates on Wikipedians in good standing, and to respond to a comment addressed to you in the third person. Doing so creates the impression that you regard other editors (who probably view themselves as much more experienced contributors than you) as in the same category as trolls and vandals. I hope this is raed n the spirit it's written. Regards, The Land 10:10, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- I appreciate your concern, however I will continue to be active in this dispute until I get the personal attack removed and the header changed per Wikipedia guidelines. Also, what's wrong with responding in the third-person? It only appears to be degrading if you choose to view it that way. Regarding the standard templates, I believe that a user who uses profanity, no matter what their edit count, should recieve that template. If they wish, they can remove the giant hand image, as long as the message is the same. Also, whether other editors "probably view themselves as much more experienced contributors than [me]" is irrelivent to anything on Wikipedia, as well are, by design, all equal in standing. Again, I appreciate your concern, but I feel that your judgements on many of my actions are misjudged on this particular incident. Cheers, Daniel.Bryant 10:16, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

- Daniel, this is a time in which stress is being expressed by many members of the community. It is in the best interests of Wikipedia that we not add to the difficulties by pressing to the limit with peripheral issues. Newyorkbrad 18:08, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Err... Ahem..
Hey Daniel, you got to my page faster than I could acknowledge plagiarising your page's style!!! How did you manage that? Actually I see my ugly page and then I see neat pages like yours, so I tell myself that I must have a page like that. But then I am technologically challenged so after an hour of trying, I give up... In that hour, I did manage to copy the barnstar style:). Thanks for volunteering to help.... A quick question, what should I substitute for the barnstar of national merit? That one gave me real trouble. Thanks -- Lost(talk) 20:39, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
On another note, its been a rather stressful day for many editors, as long discussions on ANI and the RFA talk page are taking their toll. This is for you for offering to help and I hope will lighten your mood.

Why did you add all this vandalism content and then remove it? http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=2006_AFL_finals_series&diff=74106085&oldid=74085067 Remy B 10:56, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry, my browser was playing up, and I accidentally submitted it to the real article rather than the sandbox which it was going to be in (I had both open to copy the original, empty source code over). It was going to be used as a joke towards a fellow editor. Stupid Firefox... *bangs computer* Sorry again. Daniel.Bryant 10:58, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Thanks...
...for being bold and adding info to the FFA article about Lowy quitting. Ironically, I was checking WP:A-L/RC, clicked the diff's for your edits (which were at the top), and as I read them, a Ch. Seven news bulletin came on and told me exactly what you added. Talk about WP:V across mediums! Cheers, Daniel.Bryant 12:14, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Table bridge
I consider the Gallery function unsuitable as the images are too small for this application. I would like to frame the trio of images (with a single fram) - is there a way to do this?
Thanks, Leonard G. 15:13, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
- Well, you could do what I did (see the article for my changes) - basically, add all three to an image and save. Daniel.Bryant 06:50, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
-
- but that does not allow access to the original three individual elements - I will add that to the image page - Leonard G. 18:54, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Co-ordinator of WP:A-L
- Just wondering if you have any objections/feel any changes need to be made to the September newsletter - it can be viewed here. Make any changes you like, or tell me if it needs to change, or if you're happy, just drop me a line on my talk page saying so, and I can distribute them. Cheers, Daniel.Bryant 06:57, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
Made a couple of minor changes regarding the player project, replacing the % with a template to save clutter and keep it updated and changing the aim (double figures is imminent, surely we can be a bit more ambitious? ;-) ). Cheers. – AlbinoMonkey (Talk) 08:24, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Let me know
If you want it deleted from your page history. I'd be happy to do so -- Samir धर्म 12:30, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
- Nah, don't worry - I don't find it that offensive. However, maybe consider the deletion tag on the image, for the reasons stated on the page. Cheers, Daniel.Bryant 12:32, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
- Wish I could. I think it's a Commons image. -- Samir धर्म 12:51, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] 2006 AFL finals series
I didn't remove the scores; I added them!--M W Johnson 12:36, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
- Oh, yeah, by removing the match scores from the summary diagram, the future matches for the teams because of the result, and the matches from the headers. Don't worry, it's all been re-added, so no harm done. Cheers, Daniel.Bryant 12:50, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] user page?
hello there, I hear your one of wikipedias best user page creators, if this is true i need your help! My user page is terrible it's nothing more than one line of text followed by an awkward mass of user boxes! Do you think you would be able to create a better looking page for me? I would be most appreciative if the answer is yes, take a look at my existing page and you'll see what i mean on My Somewhat disorganised user page!
Thankyou for your time, I hope you can help, your new friend JIMOTHYtalker!
- I most certainly can. If you don't mind me asking, who did you ask/what did you read/how did you get here? Daniel.Bryant 13:21, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:Esperanza/User Page Award
Considering your interest in UPA, I wondered if you would be interested in the talk-page spamming; as I'm inactive due to exams? --May the Force be with you! Shreshth91($ |-| ŗ 3 $ |-| ţ |-|) 16:06, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
- Unless you would prefer the role, I will stand in for Shresth91 on this contest. Wikiwoohoo 20:33, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
- I'll do it next contest. Thanks for filling in Wikiwoohoo. Daniel.Bryant 23:50, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for your help. As far as I know, the only template for the contest is the award itself Template:Upawinner. I have been manually adding the other messages, changing each username for each user, but you can add the {{:PAGENAME}} tag instead if you want. It's a bit of luck that you're doing the next contest as the spammer as I'm getting a bit too busy outside Wikipedia and will have to start cutting down on my involvements if it increases! Cheers again. Wikiwoohoo 15:28, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The latest User Page Award
Hi Daniel.Bryant and thanks for signing up as a judge for this round of the contest! You'll have three user pages to examine. The user pages you get coincide with your signup number. So if you signed up to be a judge in spot 1 than you will get nominations 1-3. Pick your favorite one, and list it in the finalist section. After all 5 judges have chosen a finalist it's time to award them 1-10 points in the four categories:
- Attractiveness: general layout, considering colour scheme and/or use of tables if applicable
- Usefulness: links to subpages or editing aids, helpful information
- Interesting-ness: quirky, unique, captivating, or funny content
- General niceness: at the judges' discretion
Please see the Scores section on this page for additional information on your job as a judge.
Keep in mind that your scores are confidential! Email Celestianpower with your scores and final choices. As soon as all the scores have been tallied, the winner will be announced! Thanks.
[edit] Thanks
Thanks for all your work on transforming my user page, it's great! Just what I needed! Thanks also for the Barnstar, very much appreciated. I have been trying to forget about the problems I have faced, and am glad it has been noted. Thankyou again JIMOTHY

[edit] A-League crowds
Hi Daniel, I found a few errors/typos in the crowd figures (both A-League 2006-07 and 2006 Australian football code crowds). I changed them to what appeared to be the correct figures - could you double check if you happen to get a chance? Thanks, -- Chuq 05:59, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

Sorry if this feels like a mass mailout message. It is. Even so,
- I've put forward three policy proposals for piping links in infoboxes on such pages as diverse as Bert Newton and Louis A. Johnson - here. I'd be delighted if you could consider the three possibilities and then say on the page which proposal you think is best. Cheers and happy editing! Jpe|ob 13:57, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
