[edit] Vikings Number of nfC championships

thanks for adding info to Minnesota Vikings page, just a quick fyi the Vikings have only won 3 NFC championships 73 74 and 76. It is a common mistake the Vikings won the nfL championship in 1969. The AFC and NFC started in 1970. Smith03 04:14, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Nebraska Highway Shields

If you need assistance with them - let me know. I have the tools to do them - they're quite hefty in size due to the wagon at the bottom - but really all you need to do is use Inkscape and Image:N Blank.svg, and insert the text in font Roadgeek 2005 Series C format, size it, center it, convert the text to a path (CTRL + SHIFT + C) and upload it.

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Mike McCarthy (Omaha), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Your article U.S. Route 6 in Nebraska is well-written, but it lacks any sourcing. The external links in the article could be used to source the article, but the DYK rules specifically state it must be sourced. You at least need to source the main fact in the DYK hook. Just look at the other articles listed. Please read WP:CITE for a guide on sourcing. I hated to see this one passed up. As a former member of the WikiProject Wisconsin Highways, I understand that the U.S. WikiProject needs help. Some DYK exposure would help the WikiProject. Royalbroil 20:04, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, I was thinking of getting more feedback about the tables, but I never did. While it's not exactly difficult to finish the tables, I don't think any other state uses them, and a summary of the routes is less useful than I expected. Dear roads editor,

You may have noticed some changes at WP:USRD lately. Some of them, like the cleanup templates and the stub templates, have been astounding and great. Unfortunately, others have been disturbing.

This has become evidenced by the departure of a few prominent editors at USRD, a few RFC's, and much fighting among USRD editors.

After the second RFC, many of us found the opportunity to take a step away from Wikipedia for a while--as a self-imposed wikibreak, or possibly on vacation.

The result of such introspection was that many of us were placing ourselves in a "walled garden" and on a self-imposed pedestal of authority over the roads department. Also, we were being hostile to a few users who were not agreeing with us.

In fact, IRC has been the main incarnation of this "walled garden." Decisions have been made there to conduct grudges and prejudices against a few valued USRD users with poor justification.

For this, we have come to apologize. We have come to ask your forgiveness.

In addition to this, we hope to work as one USRD team from now on and to encourage cooperation instead of the promotion of interests.

All users are welcome to collaborate on IRC, the newsletter, or anywhere else at USRD.

In the future, please feel free to approach us about any issues you may have.

I DYK'd the transportation and I-80 articles - maybe I'll go for good article status with one/both of them. That's my next goal, to aim for those. Thanks for catching that error on locating Jefferson Square (Omaha). I dug up several new sources, all of which agree it was located smack dab in the middle of I-480, between North 15th, 16th, Chicago and Cass Streets. Interestingly enough, it was also always the aim of city leaders to use the space for something else: first a schoolhouse, then a library, then a market, then public baths... so its destruction by the hand of the Interstate construction gods appears inevitable! Hi, DandyDan2007. Yes, Peru competes in the Midlands Conference for other sports, but the conference does not sponsor a championship in football. So, Peru is currently classified as an NAIA Football Independent per the NAIA 2007-08 Qualification Plan. Additionally, the school's press release for the up-coming season at "Bobcats 2008 Football Schedule Announced" specifically states that Peru "will again play an NAIA Independent schedule in 2008". Actually, they do compete in the Midlands Conference for sports other than football. So, football is the only sports in which they are independent. And they do have the Midlands logo as a part of the default template on their athletic site, so that logo shows up on every page...even football where it isn't relevant. Best wishes. No problem.  :) I used the NDOR's site (the PDF) to fill in all the data, in conjunction with Google Maps to provide a good description of each route. I think the only errors would be classifying them as Stubs instead of Start class (on the discussion pages; NE2 started to correct those I saw). --Dbm11085 (talk) 18:08, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Kevin Kugler requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. As discussed at WT:USRD, the participants list at WP:USRD is being split by state. Since your name has multiple projects next to it, "MN" has been removed next to your name on the large USRD-wide table, and your name has been added to the MN specific table.
