[edit] RMS Queen Mary

I am leaving the same message for both user:CThornton and user:Dan534:

Deleting links that are within the WIkipedia's External links policy can be considered a problem, but edit wars over the links is definately a violation of Wikipedia Rules.

Both of you should especially look at the three-revert rule. Violating that rule can get you a 24-hour ban from editing on the Wikipedia. Repeated violations of the rule can get you blocked for longer periods.

I am going to restore all of the deleted links for now. If you don't think that a particular link should be in the External links section of the RMS Queen Mary article, discuss it on the article's talk page, instead of edit warring. BlankVerse 09:45, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

I am leaving this same message on all the talk pages of those editors who have recently been involved in the short edit war over links in the External links section of the RMS Queen Mary article.
Two of the editors involved in that disputer were temporarily blocked because of their violation of the three-revert Rule. The article itself is temporarily protected because of the edit warring over the article. There is now a section on the Queen Mary talk page at Talk:RMS Queen Mary#Edit dispute over links in the External links section for any editors who want to discuss the matter of which links should, and should not be in the External links section of the RMS Queen Mary article.
