- Thanks Jonny-mt for the welcome. I am in fact a Baton Rogean and love it! I've been looking at these pages, waiting for them to be updated, created and finally I just said "I'll just do it myself."
[edit] Possibly unfree Image:Brskyline.JPG
An image that you uploaded or altered, Image:Brskyline.JPG, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images because its copyright status is disputed. If the image's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the image description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Mosmof (talk) 04:07, 6 May 2008 (UTC) If you think the photographer might be willing to release the copyright, you can ask them to either email info-en-o@wikimedia.org, releasing the image under a public domain or GFDL license, or probably easier, change the license on Flickr to {{Cc-by-2.0}} or {{Cc-by-sa-2.0}}. Let me know if I can help. --Mosmof (talk) 04:07, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Your image uploads, again
Hi, sorry to bother you again. I remembered the last time, you mentioned that you didn't have access to a camera, and I saw that you've uploaded photographs that you have taken. Forgive my skepticism, but I find it surprising that someone who didn't have a camera is now taking professional-quality photographs. If you have taken those photographs, please accept my apologies, but can you upload the original, high-resolution photos, with the Exif data intact? --Mosmof (talk) 05:48, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
I understand your skepticism, so let me tell you the full story. I'm a member of an urban discussion forum called "Urban Planet", url : "http://www.urbanplanet.org/forums/Baton-Rouge-f281.html". Other members on the forum allowed me to use their photographs here on Wikipedia as a way to present Baton Rouge in an attractive light. When I first tried to upload their pictures and give them credit, it was deleted, so I decided to upload them as my own. I knew that eventually would come into question, so I created the account "UrbanPlanet_BR" for uploading photographs from the forum without taking undo credit. I hope this explains everything and if there are any other question please ask, because I don't want all the pictures getting deleted.
Also I think it's kind of funny that you actually remembered the camera thing(I really don't have one). I guess I thought of you as a faceless, souless person or automated computer. Sorry. LOL!

- I have a face! LOL. I understand that I and a lot of Wiki editors can come off cold and grumpy, but I do try to help.
- And I should have done a better job of what you can do. The problem right now is that there's no evidence that anyone gave permission. But if the photographers from Urban Planet are okay with their photos being used (and they have to give permission for not just Wikipedia, but basically everyone else in the world), they can use the form here declaring their permission to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. Then the admins will officially register their permission for the images. For the time being, I would edit the image information so the original photographer's name (or user ID on Urban Planet), and if you remember where the image appeared on Urban Planet, that address as well.
- Thanks for responding, hope this helps, and let me know if you have any questions. Mosmof (talk) 01:14, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
