Danny Mac is an official "kemzy Legend" and a member of the 2005 & 2006 wyetrek teams

Dannymac was born and raised in the cornfields of western Worcestershire and spent many a youthfull summer working 14 hour days picking beans for local communist farmers and bmx'ing with his older brother and his friends quickly earning himself the title amongst the "older kru" as "young'un Mckeown" and earning the rank of junior-krumember mckeown.

he became a full member when in the summer of 2001 his older brother retired to spend his days with the woman he loved.

The younger brother quickly earned himself a reputation as a quiet trouble maker.

In the summer of 2004 he was part of an unprecedented move away from the legends to the city centre 3 bedroom house he shared with fellow legend Keith "hunter" turrell and best friend and prime sesh venue holder Andrew West forming the offshoot of the kru which became known as "the bromwhich road kru" whose main objectives were less BMX orientated and more focused towards music, drinking and self destruction.

"west was key to the success of the Bromwhich road kru because he had so much experience of holding a sesh venue, which came from the west loft days and the wests room days" Mckeown said in a 2006 interview

the new kru was small but strong and mainly consisted of

The Bromwhich road Kru lasted 6 long messy wasted months and ended up with Dannymac and west being blacklisted from local estate agents and an emotionally shattered asian land-lady

With empty bank accounts and their tails between their legs the now ex leaders of the Bromwhich road kru returned to Kemzy (minus Keith, who fled south to bournemouth) to little fan-fare.

The golden age of the kru seemed to be over for everyone and the endless nights down the only sesh venue left, Shitty Smelly, led to tension and dissent within the legends, eventually leading to the death of the kru sesh mentality

the kru now spends most evenings in local drinking hole The Talbot dreaming of a time when things were easier, memories were hazier, and the air smelt sweet.

wyetrek is a yearly canoeing trip that takes place on the 27th - 29th August

The route

Day one Glasbury on Wye to Whitney. Ten mile - five/six hour canoe trip

Day two:- Whitney to Preston on Wye. Fourteen mile - five/six hour trip. traveling through the Scar and Monnington Falls

Day Three - Preston on Wye to Hereford ten miles traveling time Five to Six hours,

Dannymac once again left the kru from April to july in 2007 to travel solo around the United States of America in a one man hot air balloon, stopping off at certain cities along the way.
