From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wheatbelt is split up by ABS into 5 districts: Hotham, Lakes, Avon, Moore and Campion. For now we are focussing on Campion then moving onto Lakes (as they're small and easy :)) and then Avon. Hotham (Brookton, Williams etc) is more complete than any of the others so we'll leave it to last.

[edit] Orderinchaos78 - Research

Orderinchaos78 has provided and is going to figure out:

  • 2001 Basic Community Profile, Time Series Profile, Work Population Profile
  • 2001 National Regional Profiles
  • 2001 Census Collection Districts

Orderinchaos78 is currently researching:

  • 1911-2001 populations for each shire (may have to limit this when we can determine when the shires stabilised)
  • Politics for larger towns (shall we just say one politics section for each major town?) back to 1984 for federal, 1977 for state (do we need to go further back?)
  • 1976 Statistical Profile for each shire (from Battye)

[edit] DanielT5 - Historical/economic research

None of these areas have AgStats profiles. I will try and get Agricultural profiles for each of the shires. Also will hunt the shire websites and DoA for anything interesting. (Daniel has books on Nungarin and Mukinbudin districts)

Early Days (a historical publication) has some info on Jane Adams, need to get a copy of that.
