Hello there. Welcome to my UserPage.

My off-site identity is top secret. Well, not really; I just don't like talking about myself much. My first name really is Daniel; 'Eng' is an acronym that means something important to me, but probably wouldn't matter to anyone else. I edit here and there on Wiki; mostly trying to punch up biographies and articles in need of TLC. I also volunteer with WP:WQA and patrol for vandalism as a member of the WP:CVU. Feel free to leave me a note on my Talk Page; I'm usually quiet and I don't bite unless provoked.

Some issues of note:

Domestic violence. For whatever reason, my domestic violence userbox receives more negative comments than any other. This disturbs me somewhat. I'm completely opposed to violence against anyone, be it men, women, aliens, jellyfish, et al. Unfortunately, however, gender-based violence is still a major problem, and women are statistically far more likely to be attacked than men (no, I won't provide a source, it's my UserPage and all...check the World Health Organization for a non-partisan, neutral view on this issue). I've had several relatives harmed in DV disputes, and I have this userbox to honor them, to raise awareness and to convey the message that it is unacceptable .
