Australian Wikipedians' Noticeboard
Hi, my name is Daniel and I live in country Victoria in Australia. I am currently in senior level of high school and believe that education is a very important thing; hence me not being on Wikipedia as often as I'd like.
I am a member of many WikiProjects including Australian WikiProjects and the Wikify WikiProject. My main aim on Wikipedia is to increase its coverage of Australian topics, particularly its coverage of Australian television and country topics. Currently, I am mainly working on the Blue Heelers, All Saints, Sea Patrol and City Homicide articles and other articles related to them. It is my aim to one day increase them to Good Article status.
I am against vandalism of any sort and do not know why people vandalise Wikipedia. I believe that vandals should be given ample warning but, if they continue to vandalise Wikipedia and if they do not heed and take notice, they should be blocked from editing Wikipedia.
I am not an administrator today but, one day, when I believe I am advanced enough and familiar with Wikipedia and its policies, I would love to become one. I believe administrators perform vital tasks and that what they do in Wikipedia goes relatively unnoticed but, without them, Wikipedia would not be what it is today.
Current Projects:
Long-term projects:
- Watching for vandalism in any form
- Making new Wikipedians feel welcome
- Learning more about Wikipedia guidelines and regulations
- Become experienced enough to become a Wikipedia administrator
I am also a user on The TV IV, a wiki compendium of television knowledge.
