June 2002 – Present: At Home Dad and Volunteer Work, Boy Scouts of America

After the birth of our youngest child, I stayed home to raise him until school age. During this time I also served as Scout leader for my oldest Son for the Ojibwa district, Clinton Valley Council of Scouting. Duties included committee chairperson, den leader and district level involvement of fundraising activities. Detailed and managed yearly activities and budgets for local pack and provided leadership of sub committees to achieve task and stated goals.

March 2000 – June 2002: Project Management, Engineering Services Group

Implemented and managed archive strategy for the cataloging of engineering documents for the GMX-320 facilities building project. Developed the auditing procedure to check engineering submittals against the published design specifications. Maintained orderly minutes of engineering meetings and worked with General Motors management to develop and maintain the site punch list of outstanding issues. Directly interfaced with OEM suppliers auditing designs and maintaining timing of deliverables to the build site.

January 1999 – March 2000: Project Management, BRL and Associates

Implemented and managed Y2K remediation efforts for Daimler Chryslers stamping facilities. Direct management of monetary and budgetary schedules for inventorying, testing and remediation of all equipment housed within the three main facilities. Coordinated personnel activities and conducted placement interviews of site personnel. Contacted OEM’s to obtain pertinent Y2K auditing information. Managed with plant personnel the timely shutdown, testing and restart of necessary equipment facilitating completion of Y2K compliance methods.

January 1998 – January 1999: Design Engineering, Tesco Engineering

Electrical design engineering for automated door assembly systems for Chryslers PT-44 project in Toluca Mexico using computer based graphical development tools and Allen Bradley PLC-5, SLC-500. Designed and engineered the user screens and computer control for the automatic control of robots and tooling fixtures including error reporting, tool timing and cycling.

May 1993 – January 1998: Design Engineering, General Motors

Design engineering and design approval. Designed electrical controls solutions for automation and stamping press systems utilizing PLC-5 programming experience and electrical design knowledge. Reviewed and approved engineering drawings for release. Design of PLC, network communication and safety controls schemes with hardware and software solutions for material handling, welding and laser cutting equipment. Designs included electrical layouts, software programming, graphical user interfaces, network communication layouts and field commissioning of controls systems. Worked with EDS personnel in the implementation of FIS and other work flow monitoring systems.
