Dan Wesson Firearms (DW) is a manufacturer of handguns in the United States. The corporate headquarter is in Kansas City, Kansas, service and plant in Norwich, New York. Dan Wesson is known for its revolver expertise and for some types of ammunition it has introduced over the years.

Dan B. Wesson lived from 1916 til 1978. He was the grand-grandson[1] of one founders of Smith & Wesson Company in which he worked from 1938 til 1963. He had a degree[2] in Material Science and Metallurgy and watched strictly for the quality of his production.

The company was founded in 1968 by Dan B. Wesson
Karl R. Lewis[3] invented the main features of Dan Wesson Revolvers.
Company history has seen lots of struggle and various changes in ownership.[4]
