Hi, I'm Dan. I'm from Springfield, Illinois, the land of Lincoln and (more importantly) Mel-o-cream donuts, and I attend school at the University of Missouri in Columbia, where I momentarily attempted to be a Journalism major.
I have a strange interest in the culture (particularly, but not exclusively, the comedy) of the first half of the twentieth century. Listening to Fibber McGee and Molly makes me very happy. My favorite book is The Great Gatsby; my favorite short story, For Esme -- with Love and Squalor; movie, The Philadelphia Story or Annie Hall, maybe; and TV show, the US version of The Office.
