Actually John McGuire was the First American to REceive the Gaudeamus Prize in 1971. --hjh2002

Actually I just checked there were two americans to win the Gaudeamus prize before Lentz -- Pauline Oliveros in 1962 and McGuire in 1971Hjh2002 04:32, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
