I found both 1865 and 1885 as the year he infected himself. Does anyone know which is right? --WS 20:05, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
The references i found (inlcuding one from the Peruvian Department of Health) all state 1885, which would make sense because his date of birth is 1857. Being a medicine student at an age of 8 is highly unlikely. -- Eric Bronder 00:26, 5 April 2007 (UTC).
