[edit] Since when is Dang Wangi an area?

Since when is Dang Wangi a designated area in Kuala Lumpur? Based on the street directory, the place falls under the (old) City Centre area (Pusat Bandar), which includes areas surrounding Dataran Merdeka, Market Square, Puduraya and Petaling Street. Like the Imbi article, I suspect the perception there is an place called Dang Wangi came about with the Dang Wangi LRT station, which in reality takes its name from Jalan Dang Wangi, and not a non-existent area.

There are two resolutions:

  1. Rename this article as "Jalan Dang Wangi", thereby specialising on the road and backroads that branch off Jalan Dang Wangi.
  2. Merge this article into a general article about City Centre after the latter is created.
