Dang also refers to:

(1) an inner-terai valley in Rapti Zone, western Nepal, parallel to and north of the similar Deukhuri valley. Both valleys were historically malarial and populated by the Tharu peoples who apparently had some degree of inherited resistance.

(2) a district in Rapti zone, Nepal that is roughly coterminous with the Dang and Deukhuri valleys and their surrounding ranges north to the crest of the Mahabharat range and south over the Siwalak range to the Indian border. Settlements include the district capital Tulsipur, the bazaar town Ghorahi, and another bazaar town Koilabas near the indian border.

[edit] Duplication: Two articles about the same DANG!

These two articles are about the same district of Dang:

I propose that the Dang, Nepal article be merged into the Dang Deokhuri District article. As the second article is a part of a 75-article system about districts in Nepal, while the first one hangs loose, and has been criticized, too.
