The First Australian across the line in 2006 was CAPT Sonny Lynn, from HQJTF 633 (placed 6th). There were a number of Australians participating in the 20 km march. Each of the finishing participants were presented a medal (that US soldiers can wear on their uniform). The next two Austrlains across the line were CAPT Ryan Goddard, and LT Tony McKay.
