[edit] A quick note about Russian Names

As we know, Andrei Lipov and Suisie Lipova are married. Notice that their surnames are spelt differently. In russian all female surnames end with "a" and male with a "o" this is nor a mistake, please don't anybody try and correct it. Whilst Susie may not be russian by birth, she is married to a russian and therefore by taking on her partners surname it is "Lipanova" for her and "lipanov" for him. Please try and remember this, if you get it wrong you make it harder for people interested in the couple to search for them. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.64.57.241 (talk) 04:07, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Reviews!?

I was going to get rid of the reviews but Xxnick got there before me. Thanks, but Wikipedia is not a forum!

[edit] 2007 British television phone-in scandal

Should there be a section about the current phone-in scandal? If so, where sould it go? yettie0711 22:11, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

Don't know where it should go, but I agree that it should be included.--Snowgrouse 08:20, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Required elements

I've just added a bit about these. Why has there been no mention that required elements even exist until now? It would be good if we could have a list of all of them. I've found the following for the 2007 series: [1]

  1.  ???
  2. spiral
  3. one-footed spin
  4. assisted jump
  5. shadow sequence
  6. any one of three of Torvill and Dean's classic moves: the train, a backwards step sequence or an underarm rotation
  7. prop
  8. (semi-final) unique move
  9. (final) flying

How can we incorporate this info into the article? -- Smjg 21:44, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

My only suggestion would be to split each season of Dancing on Ice onto its own page. Although the articles would probably be small. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Enero778 (talkcontribs) 19:58, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Arlene Phillips leaving Strictly Come Dancing?

Messages have been going around on the BBC Strictly Come Dancing Forums that Arlene Phillips is leaving this year.

The claim is not sourced.

However, looking on the Wiki page for "Dancing On Ice," it appears that Arlene is going to be a judge on Ice Dancing! Does this mean she has left the BBC to go to ITV?

This claim is also unsourced.

I appreciate that this page is not a forum, but can somebody please help me, and look for sources for either of these claims?

I guarantee that, true or not, the rumour on the BBC forum will spread to Wiki soon.

Could others, therefore, keep a check and "watch" key pages such as Arlene Phillips and this one?

[edit] "Despite still airing its third series, Dancing on Ice will return in 2009 for another run."

The two clauses seem completely unrelated to me. So in what way is the second clause "despite" the first? -- Smjg (talk) 13:37, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Dancing On Ice Series 3:

Notes.

What are you trying to say? -- Smjg (talk) 00:53, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Gay Gareth Gates

Surely this is irrelevent to Dancing on Ice, and it's also unsourced anyway. If a source can confirm it, mention it on the Gareth Gates article. Digifiend (talk) 10:05, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
