Ifrit ~A Burning Man's Conviction~ (イフリート～断罪の炎人～ Ifrit ~Danzai no Enjin~?) is a shōnen manga by Masanori Yoshida. The manga is currently running in Shōnen Sunday having begun in 2007's issue 2/3. Yoshida created a prototype version of the story which debuted in Shōnen Sunday 2004 issue 43. Instead of developing the story after it's short story debut, Yoshida serialized Grandliner instead.

On the surface Yu and Minami are very typical, they work at a coffeehouse and live mundane lives. What most people do not know are that Yu and Ninami are both assassins who have had their bodies modified against their will. As they carry out their contracted kills, they search for the people responsible for their transformation.

- Yu
- Yu and his family were in a plane crash. His parents died, but Yu's body was heavily augmented so that when he loses control of his feelings, his body begins to heat up to nearly 1000 degrees. Because of this he relies on Ninami to keep his body cool, in hopes that he can live long enough to have his body returned to normal. Due to his unusual body, he has to sleep inside a refridgeration device.
- Ninami
- She also works at the coffeehouse with Yu, and her body has been similarly modified. Her father worked for the organization responsible for Yu's transformation, and placed Ninami in cold storage for 80 years. As a result, her body temperature can reach -200 degrees, causing her internal organs to freeze. In order to stay alive, she depends on Yu to keep her body from growing too cold. Like Yu, she must sleep inside an oven to keep her body temperature up.
- Genzaburo Kujo
- Kujo runs the coffee shop where Yu and Ninami work, and acts as a middleman who organizes their assassinations. He is also a skilled hacker.
