Dany Verlinden

Dany Verlinden (born August 15, 1963 in Aarschot, Flemish Brabant) was a Belgian football goalkeeper who played much of his career at Club Brugge. He is the second most capped player for Club Brugge with 433 games in Jupiler League. Verlinden played with Belgium and was in the team for the 1994 and 1998 World Cup.
In Belgium he is often referred to as De Muur (The Wall).
In December 2003, he became the oldest footballer ever to play in the Champions League, aged 40 years and 116 days. Alessandro Costacurta of AC Milan took over the record on November 21, 2006, when the Italian defender was on the Milan side that lost (1-0) at AEK Athens, aged 40 years and 211 days.
After his active footballing career he remained with Club Brugge as the goalkeeping trainer.
