Dante Gabriel Ramírez Erazo

Dante Gabriel Ramírez Erazo was Director of Roads in Honduras between 1994 and 1998. On 17th January 2005 he became the only Honduran public official ever to have been convicted of corruption. He was found guilty of stealing 967,832 Lempiras ($US51,000), and of using the proceeds in buying a house worth 1,325,000 Lempiras ($US72,000). He denies the charge.
