Dansert Maestro

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dansert Maestro (威信王子) was an Australian thoroughbred racehorse who raced in Hong Kong. He was best known as a bust from the 2002 Hong Kong International Sale. Sired by Desert King to dam Very Droll, he was sold for HK$4.8 million (US$615,464), becoming the most expensive horse sold in that year's sale. His racing career was plagued by right front leg injuries. He raced just three times, all unplaced, and retired in 2005.

[edit] Trivia

  • Swiss Lad, who was sold for just HK$100,000 less than Dansert Maestro in 2002 HKIS, won 6 races in his racing career before breaking down in a race on April 24, 2005. He was put down after that incident.
