Danny Wilson (born 1955) was a Rugby stand off who was born in Wales to a Welsh mother and a Sierra Leonean father.
After beginning his career in rugby union with Cardiff, he moved north and switched codes to join Swinton Lions rugby league club. He went on to represent Wales in rugby league, but is best known as the father of footballer Ryan Giggs, who plays for Manchester United.
