Danny Ray

Danny Ray, (born, Dan Feinstein, February 1, 1951, New York, NY) is an American tenor saxophonist, known for his "exploding sax" style, evolved from early punk rock and R&B roots.
Currently (2007), playing in an eclectic project called Mad Juana, with rock bassist Sami Yaffa (Hanoi Rocks, Jet Boy, Demolition 23, New York Dolls), Karmen Guy(NYC singer, songwriter, artist, model), Marni Rice (electric accordion), Paul Garisto (percussion, Jesse Malin band) and Jimmy Vespa (trumpet, The Hypno-Twists). They blend gypsy and Mediterranean influences along with other globalista music, within an intensive rock format, that they call "Acoustic Voodoo".
